God is doing Great things in Uganda (20230501 Newsletter)

April has been very rainy, very busy, and very blessed. God is working behind the scenes in the teachers I’m training and the people they are teaching. Spiritual growth is happening and I’m excited! As pastors grow, churches grow.

We were blessed to have Pastors Luke and Mandy visit again. Mandy comes 3 times a year usually with 10 or 20 bags of blessing .

Welcome Home Orphanage is getting better and better. I love seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter of our children. Please pray for the ones still in the adoption process that it would end so they can be with their forever families.
Bright, happy faces greet us as
they come home from school.

In answer to some of your prayers, I have a new church home.
I attend “Watoto” church which means children in Swahili. (Why its called that I don’t know except they care for 6,000 orphan children in Uganda). I happen to live next door so it’s also become my place of prayer and communion with God. we meet in a tent until they can build a permanent structure so its always open for me.

I’ve been asked to lead a cell group made up of very mature Christian leaders and pastors over 40 years old. It’s a challenge leading such a group (because they need advanced discussion and teaching), but a lot of fun. I received some affirmation when our senior pastor visited and said our group is the model cell for the church and asked me to teach yet another class! Oy Vey! Yet I praise God for the privilege of serving Him and I love what I do!

Yesterday I had the privilege of sharing Christ with a Moslem boda. He wants to know more about Jesus and asked if I had a Bible He could read. Praise God! Today at church I had the privilege of leading a young lady to Christ! This is my biggest joy!

I am so blessed by your prayers, love and

financial support! Come and visit!
