God's Blessings to You in 2022
Dear Family and Friends,
I’m excited to share what God has done while I’ve been Stateside.
He has answered two major prayers:
· Helping my Mom-When I returned to the States, several of my Mother’s friends approached me individually saying that Mom and I needed to look at various living options. My Mom is an older senior, who was living alone in her older house with limited mobility. She was lonely and isolated. She fell in love with one of the homes we visited and in less than 3 weeks was completely moved in. She has been adjusting well and has already made friends.
For over a year I’ve been asking prayer for my visa. I was successful in completing one of the last steps this last month. At the post office a man spent over 30 minutes trying to scan my fingerprints after many unsuccessful attempts at other places. Finally, after scanning 10 fingers (1 poor scan, 2 good scans and 7 borderline scans), I sent in the results to the FBI and had my background clearance the next day. Thanks for praying.
I expected these
two goals to take months and yet I will be able to return to Uganda, Jan. 21.
- · Continued teacher training at Welcome Home with the English program.
- · Sunday School teacher training with the village churches.
- · Leading workshops on various topics through my local church.
- · Evangelism.
- · Investing in and imparting to others what God has given to me.
My cell phone number while in the States is: (442) 269-1794.
I’d love to spend some time with you if I haven’t already.
Janet
Praise
- · A new home for my mother with extra care.
- · A church that has consistently shown love and compassion to my Mom helping her with rides, and whatever she needed.
- · I had asked for a loaner car and a special friend loaned me hers. It just so happened that the car had a disability license which was a blessing to my Mom.
- · An opportunity to experience Christmas in the States with friends and family.
- · Good results from extensive medical exams.
- · To finish and wrap up all I need to do before I return.
- · Resettling into life back in Uganda.
- · Discernment to know what God wants me to be involved in, who to help, needs to meet, etc. without overdoing it.
- · For my Mom as she continues to adjust to her life change that she would be a witness and encouragement to others.
