Dear Family and Friends,
God is Good! In spite of the severe lockdown Uganda
is experiencing, God is doing good things in the country, at Welcome Home and
in the community of Jinja. It’s been a busy month.
Since all places of worship have been closed during the
lockdown, my local church was divided into groups of 12 to meet together for
praise and Bible study. I’m developing Bible studies to teach my small group.

One Sunday a young man of the church came and told my
group his sad story. He said he doesn’t know his father and his mother left
because she was dying and couldn’t care for him and his siblings. The young man
went on to say his family was starving and he had no money to provide for their
needs. Feeling compassion for the young man, I gave him some money. He also
asked me to find him a job.
After church, a friend called me to say this man was a
scammer and had scammed many in the church (including my friend) of lots of
money. His story was a huge lie.
I prayed for wisdom and God gave it to me. Since
construction continues in the compound where I live, I spoke to the foreman
and had the young man work for a week with his crew to pay off the money he
scammed from me. Completing the work week, I told him that the foreman wanted
him to work for his company. He had a job that pays well and he will learn a
trade as well. Isn’t God good?

Thank you again for your prayers, love and support. God
continues to bless the ministry. I’m doing well. I was sick for a couple of
weeks but Covid free.
