Dear Family and Friends,

As I write this update, I can hear the sounds and watch out my window as prisoners from the local men’s prison take down trees that are obstructing the foundations of the buildings in the compound where I live. I enjoyed an opportunity to share the Gospel with them yesterday, but most of them are already “Mulokole” (born again), thanks to prison ministries here in Jinja.

I’ve had the privilege of sharing my workshop on how to break mental strongholds with my local church. I’m now presenting the same workshop to Welcome Home staff. The feedback has been extremely positive. I’m presently working on a workshop on forgiveness.

We have a new in-training English teacher. He is a local man from my local church and works with street children. The Welcome Home kids love him! I am working with him extensively to bring him to teaching excellence.

I was blessed these last few weeks to have our executive director, Mandy Sydo come for a visit. She is always a blessing and encouragement to me. This visit she gave me some valuable tips on appearance and self-improvement. This was especially helpful because with autism, I don’t always see these things.

Lots of changes and improvements are happening through Welcome Home Ministries, Africa.

Firstly, God miraculously provided money to purchase the property where I live. It will be used to house teams of volunteers and whatever else God has planned for us.

Secondly, The medical clinic in the village of Lwambogo is almost finished. This outreach will provide medical services to those who live too far from other medical services or can’t afford those services.

Many children have died because of a lack of accessible medical services. There will be regular ongoing support for some and will provide minor surgery, medication and counseling to others. The medical clinic was funded through a grant from a supporter of Welcome Home.

The church in Lwambogo started by Calvary Life Fellowship in Orange, California is going strong.

Several of our Welcome Home children got to spend time with their adoptive families. What a joy to see their smiling faces when their parents arrive.

I am so blessed to be a part of this ministry. Thanks for being part of the team through your prayer, funding, and love. I am so grateful for you!
