Dear Friends and Family,

I pray you have a prosperous and victorious new year. I pray that your relationship with our Lord will grow deeper and stronger and that you will know the joy of His presence in a special way.

Today begins the fresh start of a new year and I’m excited about what God has planned for each of us. 2020 was both a blessing and a challenge for most of us. Some of you have lost loved ones to Covid-19. Some have lost jobs, ministries. For me, I’ve set all ministry aside as I recover in quarantine from Covid. I’m thankful I only contracted a mild case of it.

I wasn’t diagnosed until three days before Christmas, so I was able to organize most of our Christmas fun with children

and staff. Balloons, face painting, a field trip to the park where the children experienced corn dogs for the first time. Ice cream, a scavenger hunt and a white elephant gift exchange were all part of the festivities.

I had a new experience yesterday. The city normally does fireworks at midnight to user in the new year. Last night it was raining heavily but the fireworks went on as planned. God displayed His own show with lightning and thunder simultaneously with the fireworks show. It was amazing. It was as if God was ushering in the new year and with it, special blessings for us who believe.
