January 1, 2018 Newsletter

Dear Friends and Family,

I have looked back in gratefulness and praise for some of what God has done this last year:

• ·     2 care packages that tremendously blessed me and continue to bless me as I am reminded of the love and support of you, God’s people,
• ·     A youth retreat where I shared some of my story,
• ·     My school paid for some of the teachers to attend a Christian school conference in Kenya. We were blessed to connect with other schools,
• ·     I had an almost free snorkeling trip in Mombasa, Kenya,
• ·     God blessed me with a scholarship to Forest Home for a week (a Christian Camp in California),
• ·     Fellowship of good people from great churches in the Morongo Basin (California desert),
• ·     A wonderful team of 3 ladies who came and shared my life with me.
• ·     Sharing Christmas and blessing the children and staff at Welcome Home,
• ·     AND, of course, sharing my life and story with the tremendous kids I teach,
• ·     MOST OF ALL, knowing Jesus more and becoming more like Him.

 Thanks for your prayers, support and staying in touch.

2018? I don’t know what the future holds, I only know who holds the               future.

My prayers are for the following:

• ·         Continued growth in Scriptural thinking and Christlikeness,
• ·         Continued conduit of love to my students,
• ·         Knowledge and discipline to continue losing weight, to get rid of diabetes                      and other stuff hanging on my body,
• ·         Long term friends to hang out with and share my life with,
