Dear Friends and Family,
It’s hard to believe the holidays are almost here! We have already had an impromptu lesson on snow: what it is and what people can do with it (most of my students have never seen snow.) I love teaching ELL (English Language Learning) because we are able to discuss many topics and the discussions usually end up centered around Jesus Christ.
KICS had spirit week leading up to the Parade of Nations on Friday (27 nations are represented in our student body of about 300 students). The church was completely filled with standing room only as people cheered for the various countries represented at KICS. Students walked down the aisle carrying their country’s flag while their national anthem played. They each greeted the audience in their local dialect. After cultural dances, songs and a message, parents took lots and lots of pics. These students will eventually go back to their countries where God will use them to spread His love throughout the world.

Let me introduce you to Michael, one of my new 6th grade students this year. Michael loves football (soccer) and plays goalie. He also likes basketball and pizza. He has a brother who studies in China and a sister who attends KICS but as a result of problems with her legs is on crutches for a while. His dream is to be a lawyer, pilot, business man or a famous soccer player. Since his family is catholic, Michael has known about Jesus all his life. He is “happy to be in a Christian school”. Michael has experienced answered prayer when he prayed about a test and got a “B”

I am so grateful for your continued prayers and support on my behalf:
  1. That I love others the way Jesus loves them
  2. Health: blood sugar (I’m really trying!)
  3. That I grow in Christlikeness.
  4. Please pray that God would spare East Africa from the Bubonic Plague and deliver Madagascar from the spread of it-
