November 2016 Newsletter

Dear Friends and Family,

I am so thankful for your prayers, love, and support. I love the way you stay in touch with information from “home”. Without your support in prayer and finances I could never live and serve in Rwanda.

Last week I told my secondary ESL students when they can do the same work as other students and take the same exams independently with no intervention, and their grades are “C” or above in every class consistently, they will be able to “graduate” from English language learning and go back to their regular class. The response I got was, “But we don’t want to leave, we love you”. We never know the impact we have on people we serve. You will hear more about my students in future newsletters.

I told one of my 9th graders that I was looking forward to meeting her father at the parent/teacher conference. Her response? “He’s coming?!” “Yes”. Her whole face lit up like a Thanksgiving Candle. Her (typical) 9th grade friends saw her face light up and said, “That’s a good thing??” She turned and smiled. Her hasn’t seen her father in a year. He lives and works in Burundi. He came from another country just for teacher conferences.

As I look forward to my birthday 11/27, I’m old enough to legally retire. I want to continue working and serving Him who gave everything for me. My desire is to love with Jesus’ love, to be his hands and feet, to be so much like Him that people are attracted to His love flowing through me.

Prayer Requests:
That I realize more fully my identity in Christ
Health

Blessed to Bless,
Janet Mulford
