4/2016 Newsletter

Dear Friends, Family and Supporters,

In July I will be leaving California to teach English as a second language at Kigali International Community School (KICS) in Rwanda. I was in Rwanda 20 years ago (after the genocide) to help start a home for dying babies. My colleague and I were held at gunpoint and knife point by three invaders who almost killed us. We were saved as a result of a church in California stopping their Palm Sunday Service to pray for us. (seewww.janetmulford.blogspot.com 11/27/94-5/1/95) Since then, Rwanda has been on my heart.

When I opened the application to teach at KICS I almost cried and I sensed very strongly that this is where God wanted me to be for the next chapter of my life. He confirmed this in several ways since then.

KICS http://www.kicsrw.org/ is a Christian international school in the capital city of Kigali, a city of 1 million people. KICS currently serves around 200 students from nearly 30 different nationalities and is recognized as a leading international school in Kigali. My students will be Rwandese, Korean and Chinese.
