China: Sharing the Gospel through a communist party member
7/4/2008: There is a small street restaurant I always go to for lunch. Every day I get “chow fan” (fried rice with meat and vegetables). The owner is a middle aged woman who always sits down with me, puts her arm around me and helps me with my Chinese. Friday she was there with her son and his friend. They asked if I could teach them English. We got to talking (I “happened” to be there with my Chinese friend who is bilingual-she translated for us). I agreed to teach them. When they asked the cost, I replied that there is no cost, but explained that I was a Christian and wanted the opportunity to talk with them about Jesus Christ. Well…. They NEVER even heard of Jesus before. I thought they misunderstood so I drew a cross and explained again (through my translator). They still didn’t understand and had never seen a cross before. After careful explanation through the interpretation of my friend who was a Communist party member, one of them received Christ as Savior.
