South Korea: God provides even Exercise

11/4/2002: I knew I needed to exercise but I couldn't really decide what to do. As I was walking home from Sungkyunkwan University where I teach I thought to myself and prayed, "Lord, I could really get good exercise if I were part of a class and learning something such as low impact aerobics, etc. but where would I find such a class here in South Korea? The Lord answered with, "Look up". I looked up only to find ... a Taekwondo school! Well ... I went in and spoke with the 7th degree black belt Taekwondo master about lessons, telling him I need to reduce. As a result, I'm getting PRIVATE exercise/self-defense lessons for a very reasonable price in exchange for giving him English lessons! This is totally awesome! God is working in my life and circumstances to help me to become very successful in becoming all that He wants me to be. 

Well ... I had my first lesson today and it was great. At the beginning of the lesson the teacher asked if I was a Christian. When I said I was, he answered with, "I want to learn about being a Christian". Later, he told me, "I want to become a Christian". WOW! Is God awesome or what? My friend told me, "Janet, you don't have to go fishing for souls, they are jumping in the basket!" Since this gentleman doesn't speak English well, I arranged for him to meet with me and the pastor of a local Korean church. We are going out to dinner tomorrow.
