Uganda: My first Impressions
3/12/95: The plan was to fly into Uganda and take a car into Rwanda.
Many things are so different in Africa from the US. The people are much more warm and friendly. At the same time, I am a curio. I find that I am stared at constantly wherever I go. It’s also interesting being in a country where everyone is the same color and culture.

The
land is beautiful! Everything is green
and plush. Banana trees grow wild and
clear lakes are frequently seen. The sky
is clean and blue. Occasionally donkeys
and wild animals can be seen by the side of the road.
