East Los Angeles: God calms the wind

4/1/1984: As I was riding my bike out of  Mexico (toward Ensenada) having checked unsuccessfully on a ministry opportunity for Summer Servants 1984, The Lord spoke to me telling me to go to Yuma Arizona. (an Indian boy in my class had grandparents there). As I was traveling on my 750 Yamaha Maxim at 60mph I experienced an extremely strong side wind and was dangerously all over the road. I could not control my bike. I remembered the Scriptures said I had the same authority as Jesus so I prayed, "God, please stop the wind in Jesus' name". The wind instantly stopped.
