High School: Explo '72
7/12-17/1972: In the summer of 1972, I went to Explo 72 a Christian training by Campus Crusade in Dallas and witnessed God's power and glory in awesome ways.
1) I was told the bus fare to Texas was $40 so that's what I brought. They later told me it was $56. When I said I didn't have the money, a youth pastor prayed with me. Just when he said "Amen", someone approached me and said, "Do you need money?" To which I replied, "Yes". He went on to say, "The Lord told me to give this to you" and handed me an envelope with $16 in it.
2) During the week, my group missed the bus because we were sharing Christ and in the process led a whole family to Christ. We got in a circle and prayed for a ride. Just as we said "Amen", 6 brand new black limousines drove up and picked us up!
3) On the last night, we were challenged by Bill Bright who said, "I want everyone who is willing to go anywhere God sends them and do anything God tells them to do to stand up." Almost everyone including me did, and at that exact moment, a rainbow stretched over the Cotton Bowl where our service was. It was right in the middle of the field because I saw people on one side pointing in towards the field and people on the other side pointing in the opposite direction.
4) On the way back to the bus to go home, I got lost. Because of this I was able to meet some people who I shared the Gospel with and led to the Lord.
